The main difference between port and harbour is ports are basically developed to handle international trading between countries like imports and exports of goods. On the flip side, harbours serves as a vast spacing place where boats and ships are stored, when the atmospheric conditions are not well.

CLASS III SLOT MACHINES
We’ll skip Class II for the moment–Class III gaming is anything that doesn’t fall under Class I or Class II. Simply put, Class III is traditional ‘Las Vegas’ or ‘casino-style’ gambling. The table games like roulette , blackjack and craps would all fall under Class III as would the slot machines and video poker games you’d find in any Las Vegas casino. As far as it concerns slot machines, these are the RNG based games that we’ve described in the previous content in this section. While each individual machine is programmed to pay back a certain percentage of what it takes in it is otherwise completely random. You have the possibility of winning a jackpot on any spin of the wheel if the random numbers generated by the machine fall in your favor.

Expansion cardUpdated: 10/30/2017 by Computer HopeAlternatively referred to as an add-on card , expansion board , internal card , interface adapter , or card , an expansion card is a PCB that fits into an expansion slot on a desktop computer. An expansion card is used to give a computer additional capabilities, such as enhanced video performance via a graphics card . Note: Expansion cards can sometimes be called daughterboards . However, it is more appropriate to refer to them as expansion cards or one of the terms mentioned earlier.

The difference between a connector, jack, plug, and port. The plug is part of a cable that connects into a port.STUDYPLAYPlugThe plug always connects to something else (e.g. a jack or port). For example, the most common plug is the power plug that connects your computer and monitor to a power source and allows it to turn on and bootConnectorA connector is the unique end of a plug, jack, or the edge of a card that connects into a port. For example, all desktop computer expansion cards have a connector that allows the card to be connect into a slot on the motherboard.Port Ps/2PS/2 port found on the back of computers that allows a keyboard and mouse with a PS/2 connector to connect to the computer.audio JackA jack is similar to a port and is a hole or other connection that allows a compatible plug to be connected into the jack. With computers jack is usually used to describe an audio jack.Socket connectorA socket is an opening that is designed to fit another device. A perfect example of a socket with a computer is a CPU socket, which is a socket on the motherboard that allows a CPU to connect to the computer.SlotA slot is also a connection used with computers that can either describe a CPU slot or an expansion slot.AdapterIn general, an adapter refers to any additional circuitry built onto the computer or that comes in the form of an add-on that gives the computer additional functionality or compatibility.Expansion cardadd-on card, expansion board, internal card, interface adapter, or card, an expansion card is a PCB that fits into an expansion slot on a desktop computer.PCBBoard made of plastic or fiberglass that holds ICs and other components. A good example of a PCB found in all computers today is the computer motherboard. The circuit board is most often green from the solder mask that coats the board, however, can be any other color, including red, blue, and even black.DaughterboardDaughter board is piggyback board and daughter card, a daughterboard is an expansion board that connects directly to the motherboard and gives added functionality (e.g. modem). Today, these boards are not found or used in desktop computers and have been replaced with ISA cards, PCI cards, and onboard. However, some laptops still use these boards.Flickr Creative Commons ImagesSome images used in this set are licensed under the Creative Commons through Flickr.com .Click to see the original works with their full license.
Physical construction[ edit ]One edge of the expansion card holds the contacts (the edge connector or pin header ) that fit into the slot. They establish the electrical contact between the electronics on the card and on the motherboard. Peripheral expansion cards generally have connectors for external cables. In the PC-compatible personal computer, these connectors were located in the support bracket at the back of the cabinet. Industrial backplane systems had connectors mounted on the top edge of the card, opposite to the backplane pins. Depending on the form factor of the motherboard and case , around one to seven expansion cards can be added to a computer system. 19 or more expansion cards can be installed in backplane systems. When many expansion cards are added to a system, total power consumption and heat dissipation become limiting factors. Some expansion cards take up more than one slot space. For example, many graphics cards on the market as of 2010 are dual slot graphics cards, using the second slot as a place to put an active heat sink with a fan. Some cards are 'low-profile' cards, meaning that they are shorter than standard cards and will fit in a lower height computer chassis. (There is a 'low profile PCI card' standard [6] that specifies a much smaller bracket and board area). The group of expansion cards that are used for external connectivity, such as network , SAN or modem cards, are commonly referred to as input/output cards (or I/O cards). Expansion Slots on the motherboardMotherboard has different kinds of expansion slots available which are used to expand the compatibility of our system. The slots provide connection to the system bus. There are different kinds of slots available, one is PCI (Peripheral Component Interconnect) which is a general expansion slot used in the old time. The other modern expansion slots like PCIe (PCI Express) are used to provide different pathways to the system bus. The below figure shows different kinds of expansion slots and their sizes and names. Figure: Different expansion slots with their namesPCIe family have further different kinds of slots like x1,x4,x8 and x16 which shows that how many lanes/pathways are available for communication with the system bus. PCIe x1 slot provides less data paths and are used for cards like NIC while PCIe x16 has largest data paths and therefore it provides high data rates. PCIe x16 is mainly used for the video cards nowadays because they need high data rates. The following figure shows the different PCIe slots and notice the difference in their sizes. Difference Between Ports Slots And Connectors
You can expand your PC internally by adding additional circuitry boards. Those boards, or expansion cards, plug directly into expansion slots on the motherboard (as shown in this figure). So, you can expand your computer system by adding options not included with the basic PC. Here are the types of expansion slots your PC may have:
Slot Port Vs Aero Port
PCI Express: The best type of expansion slot to have in your PC is the PCI Express, also written as PCIe. Without boring you, the PCI Express type of expansion slot communicates with the motherboard, and therefore with the microprocessor, both quickly and efficiently.
PCI: The PCI slot is the most common form of internal expansion for a PC.
Some PCs have a mixture of PCI and PCI Express slots. If so, go with PCI Express when you have that option.
AGP: This type of expansion slot was specifically designed to deal with graphics adapters. In fact, AGP stands for Accelerated Graphics Port. Older PCs may sport this expansion slot, but the best video cards use PCI Express.
ISA: The most ancient type of expansion slot is the ISA, which stands for (get this) Industry Standard Architecture. That’s because it never really had a name until another, better type of expansion slot came along. ISA slots hang around to be compatible with older expansion cards.
